Afinal aprendemos uma língua para nos comunicarmos. &lt;br /&gt;Selecionar conteúdos relevantes, pertinentes e interessantes auxiliam muito na obtenção  dessa comunicação significativa. Dessa maneira transforma o conteúdo sistematizado em conteúdo significativo.&lt;br /&gt;Os mapas oferecem a possibilidade de ordenar e sequencializar os conceitos  além de oferecer estímulo visual.&lt;br /&gt;A proposta de trabalho dos Mapas Conceituais está baseada na idéia fundamental da Psicologia Cognitiva de Ausubel que estabelece que a aprendizagem ocorre por assimilação de novos conceitos e proposições na estrutura cognitiva do aluno. Novas idéias e informações são aprendidos, na medida em que existem pontos de ancoragem.  Aprendizagem implica em modificações na estrutura cognitiva e não apenas  em acréscimos. Segundo esta teoria, os seguintes aspectos são relevantes para a aprendizagem significativa:&lt;br /&gt; As entradas para a aprendizagem são importantes.&lt;br /&gt; Materiais de aprendizagem deverão ser bem organizados.&lt;br /&gt; Novas idéias e conceitos devem ser "potencialmente significativos" para o aluno.&lt;br /&gt; Fixando novos conceitos nas já existentes estruturas cognitivas do aluno fará com que os novos conceitos sejam relembrados.&lt;br /&gt;Como experiência inicial pensei em apresentar aos alunos como poderíamos fechar a unidade estudada em Literatura sobre o Período Barroco utilizando esquemas. É através dela que temos possibilidades de obter conhecimentos, dinamizar o raciocínio e a interpretação além de aumentar o vocabulário. Tais habilidades permeiam nossos objetivos e sabemos o quanto é difícil adquiri-las com nossos alunos surdos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Antes de mais nada acredito que precisamos trabalhar o gosto pela leitura, conquistar os nossos leitores, estimular a sua curiosidade e o seu desejo de crescer....&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;É também fundamental oferecer diferentes portadores de textos pois cada qual apresenta objetivos próprios e exigem um comportamento e uma atitude diferente do leitor frente a eles. Por exemplo: podemos ler para agir, ao ler uma placa, ou para sentir prazer ao ler um romance ou um gibi, ou para informar-se ao ler uma notícia de jornal.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Pensando nessa questão, aproveitei a sugestão do nosso livro ao tratar do tema &lt;strong&gt;Coleções&lt;/strong&gt; e preparei um texto onde mostrei os mais diversos tipos de coleções que existem no mundo. Utilizei como material para essa pesquisa o livro "Guiness World Records 2009". &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Acredito que essa leitura tenha sido muito agradável para os alunos. Solicitei também um trabalho de pesquisar outros tipos de coleções com amigos e pessoas da família. Há algum tempo esperava-se que adquirindo somente uma competência gramatical o aluno já poderia ser fluente na nova língua. Hoje estudos revelam que a gramática é importante, mas sem dúvida o grande objetivo a ser alcançado é uma competência comunicativa onde outros aspectos tomam importância além da gramática, por exemplo: a função linguística entendida como o que se pode fazer com essa nova língua: dar explicações, descrever planos, apresentar pessoas, além das habilidades dissertativas como escrever histórias, justificar opiniões, preparar argumentos...&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Pensando em desenvolver um projeto com esses objetivos optamos por adotar um livro didático com base no ensino de português para estrangeiros que será trabalhado com os alunos.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;O livro é dividido em unidades com atividades gramaticais, vocabulário, escrita e aspectos culturais da língua. A cada apresentação da unidade há um diálogo onde são trabalhadas algumas estruturas comunicativas. Vocês sabem porquê? No dia 29 de setembro de 2008 o presidente Lula assinou o decreto para a reforma da língua portuguesa.&lt;br /&gt;A língua portuguesa é falada no Brasil, em Portugal, Angola, Moçambique, Cabo Verde, Guiné Bissau, São Tomé e Príncipe e Timor Leste.&lt;br /&gt;Todos os países aceitaram realizar esse acordo ortográfico, pois apesar de todos falarem a mesma língua não havia uma unidade &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;na escrita das palavras. Assim, a divulgação do idioma, a emissão de documentos oficiais e o intercâmbio entre países lusófonos ficava muito pr&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;ejudicada.&lt;br /&gt;No Brasil o prazo para todos se adaptar&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;em às novas mudanças é até o ano de 2012.&lt;br /&gt;Conheça algumas mudanças:&lt;br /&gt;- O alfabeto passa a ter 26 letras, com a inclusão de K, W e Y&lt;br /&gt;- O trema foi eliminado da língua portuguesa, sendo aceito apenas em palavras estrangeiras. Gosto muito de Literatura, mas sei o quanto é difícil ler e interpretar textos e entender toda profundidade que os escritores tentam transmitir em suas obras e o quanto precisamos colocar de nossa subjetividade e de nossas experiências enquanto leitores para realizar tal tarefa.  Para os surdos esse trabalho é duplamente difícil.  Nos deparamos  com um  vocabulário usado muitas vezes de maneira conotativa  e com uma abstração de difícil entendimento por parte deles.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Estava trabalhando que os textos podem ser produzidos em prosa ou em poesia e para apresentar um exemplo de poesia pensei em mostrar da obra de Vinícius de Moraes a "Rosa de Hiroshima".   Para um melhor entendimento pesquisei no site You Tube imagens que pudessem mostrar os horrores da guerra e acabei encontrando uma interpretação da própria poesia.  Copiei esses vídeos e apresentei-os no Data Show.  A aula foi muito produtiva, os alunos participaram muito colocando as suas impressões e fazendo colocações pertinentes.
